[align=center]After the events on Alcatraz, the X-Men were never the same. Cyclops, or Scott Summers was discovered a few miles away where he crawled blind for three miles until a family helped him and nurtured him back to health after the Phoenix attacked him, though he was never the same. After Scott learned of the events on Alcatraz and the death of Jean, he exiled himself and lost contact completely from the X-Men.
Xavier's school for the gifted was open for only a half semester before the MCD or Mutant Control Department raided the campus and shut it down. The students who didn't end up in the detainment center, fled and went into hiding. Some of the lucky ones, like Bobby Drake had families they were able to go back home to, others went into hiding.
Magneto, foreseeing the impending destruction of the Mutant race, built Asteroid M, a giant metorite in which Mutants can live in peace. However, even Magneto knows this is only a temporary solution. The MCD are ruthless and will stop at nothing to destroy and imprison all mutants.[/align]
